Pocket Program is Done!
Aug. 22nd, 2003 04:47 pmStick a fork in me, I'm done.
Ok, that's not even remotely true. I still have to do the artwork for the Dead Dog Party and I have personal things to do for the con (like sewing), I have some paper, and general office/administration stuff to do, along with the fact that I am going to have to start working on Signage now so David can actually go to work this weekend (what an awful time to have to pull overtime!). However, the Pocket Program is now in the hands of the printer.
Let me just say, that this is the first time, in the 10+ years I have been doing this that we almost didn't have a Pocket Program.
I am not saying that to be melodramatic either. We really almost didn't. I was that close to the wire.
Arguably, the reasons had nothing to do with me. I didn't procrastinate, it wasn't that I didn't know how to do the work, nothing that brought this about was due to any sort of short coming or character flaw.
I could spew a long list of reasons, problems, and frustrations. None of it is relavent any more. It's over and done.
I feel somewhere between relieved to be done with it, and disappointed with the lack of quality this piece of my work exhibits.
After the con is over, I will have to re-evaluate the prudence of continuing to do this.
For now, I have to go eat and sleep.
Thank you everyone that has been putting up with me and offering me support. It's been more appreciated than I can say.
