Not a lot of time to write at the moment, but thought I would tell you all there will be no movie outing on Friday as previously planned. Just found out today that July 30 will be my husband's last day at HP. Needless to say, I will be hoarding cash much like my dragon friends until one or both of us have new jobs.

Bleh - maybe I can get Twilight Samurai on video eventually.

Was already fighting a stomach flu, so back to bed with me now.

Don't think he has posted anything yet to his LJ. Basically, HP is outsourcing a lot of it's jobs and at the moment moving alot of it's jobs to their Houston office. He got in yesterday and they told him to start training his replacement - another HP guy in Houston.

Yep, meeting on Saturday - we will be there with bells and whistles. :D

Yes, it was very sudden. All we know is HP has been slowly migrating away from the Atlanta office - they even sublet out 4 of the top floors of the HP building a few months ago. :/

In any case, I am sorry that you still have that headache. I hope your day with Mr. Sandman makes it go away. *hugs*

Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear about David's job. I'd be especially bitter about having to train my "replacement." Is he at least getting a severance package, or are they just letting him go?

Basicly I will get about half a weeks pay if I will stay until the end of the month. As far as I am concerned I don't think that is enough to risk not taking a job sooner.

The new guy actually works for HP. He wont have the same problems as I did with the contracting company.

I was very tempted to not not show him everything, but that might comeback to bite me later on.

I have created a bunch of tools that make my job a snap and so far I have decided to only give him one of those. After all they only asked me to teach him how to do the job. He will have to find his own short cuts.
