I was absolutely shocked when I heard the news of that today...I couldn't believe it.

I had just seen him recently on Will & Grace.

Does anybody know what type of cancer he had and how long he had suffered? Or was it immediate?

I pray for peace as he continues his journey.

His publicist has been very quiet on the subject, so I can't really answer. Althought, he just finished making a crime/drama film, The Root, so I have to wonder if it wasn't rather sudden.

I don't know what type of cancer he had (though I'm sure it'll come out eventually), but I heard on the local news last night that his family was by his side at the time of his death, so that's a plus. We should all be so lucky. :|

I have to say that by "sudden" I meant that perhaps they discovered his cancer once it was too late to do anything that might prolong his life.

I am glad that his family was with him. It helps the ones leaving as much as the ones left behind I think.
