First let me apologize for such a long absence from posting. I have been going to Columbus off and on, and then this week was when I had to get the Progress Report for Dragon*Con completed and to the printer. Also, forgive me if I ramble a bit, but from Tuesday at 5:30 AM until this morning at 5:30 AM I had only gotten 5 hours of sleep. I have gotten a few more since this morning, I think off and on around 5 or 6 hours today. Still, but the Progress Report is absolutely beautiful this year, if I do say so myself, and most importantly, it is done, the printer has it, and it's now something I no longer have to worry about.

I am behind in a number of Dragon*Con things, but maybe I will get them caught up next week. My personal life is all out of whack too, and things piled up the last few weeks with me working and being gone so much. I am going to be home this weekend though. I am too tired to do that kind of driving, and I really do have to get some things done around here.

So my Dad is off again on again the same, sometimes better, sometimes worse. With so many things wrong with him, I have come to appreciate just having him around. There was a time I held unahppy feelings towards my parents, and hurtful memories, but I suppose with them being so elderly, things that happened 15+ years ago just don't seem so important to me any more.

On a happy note, right before I went out of town the first time, my hubby and I got a TiVo, and thanks to a VERY generous gift from my Mother for our birthdays (and Christmas), and a little of my own money as well, I finally, for the first time ever have a HUGE (51 inch) projection television. So, so pretty... it makes me glowy just thinking about it. Did I mention I love tele, and technology?

Next weekend I have to go back down to Columbus, but seriously, I want to have a party or something when I get back - I will let you all know when I figure the details out.

I have made a solemn vow to myself that this weekend I will do 100 % NOTHING Dragon*Con related. So, in keeping with that, it turns out that a film I have wanted to see for some time is playing at the Lefont Garden Hills Cinema (Down in Buckhead). It's called Twilight Samurai, and stars Hiroyuki Sanada, whom most of you would know as Ujio from The Last Samurai. But he also starred in Ringu, Ringu 2, and Rasen as Ryuji Takayama (those are the original Japanese Ring movies).

I am going to try to go to the 2:15 PM showing either tomorrow or Sunday. Tomorrow though I have to take my son down to Riverdale for his haircut (it's a long story) at noon, so I don't know how late I will be there and it might make me have to wait until Sunday. In any case, if any one wants to join me, give me a call or drop me an email or something. But be forewarned, this movie is dark and ultimately pretty sad (what can I say, I love Japanese/Asian dramas, and especially really good samurai flicks).

Now... back to bed...
