Lazy Weekend
Jun. 21st, 2004 08:35 pmI spent most of the weekend passed out or on the verge or being passed out. This was a good thing after spending nearly 72 hours awake working on the Progress Report last week. Most of the time I was awake I spent feeling like I should be doing *something*. Ultimately, I didn't have the energy to do more than veg on the couch.
This means I didn't ever make it down to Buckhead to see Twilight Samurai. This is unfortunate because I have to go down to my parent's house this weekend, and I have no idea how long it will be playing down at the Lefont. Hopefully, I will get to go see it when I get back next week.
Anthony Michael Hall is coming to Dragon*Con, and believe it or not I had a huge teenage crush on his geeky self back in the 80s when he was doing all the Brat Pack movies. Despite having seen several of the films he made as an adult, I had never seen Dead Zone. But, since he is coming to the Con, I decided I needed to watch at least an episode or two. Thanks to TiVo, I finally got the chance. We all curled up and watched the ones TiVo was holding over the weekend, and let me just say, I got totally sucked into it. So, I went out on Sunday and bought the Season 1 & Season 2 DVDs. Yea, I am a sucker, but what can I say - I am totally hooked. I do have a few problems with the premise of the show, but they are because of personal beliefs, not technical flaws. And somehow I still find it intriguing. More on that another time.
I almost totally missed that it was Father's day. Somehow I was thinking it was next weekend. I really should make calendars for my wallpaper on my computer so I could remember this stuff. Time and dates aren't my strong suit.
Since it's 8:30 pm now, and I am not even remotely dressed, I don't think I will be going to BP tonight. I am still feeling sluggish and I have to get up in the morning and go into the D*C office.
