More Swimming Fun
Sep. 26th, 2003 05:09 pmWell, I went swimming with
gossamyrrh again today. I was so happy that she came with me! It's too bad she can't come all the time, but it's nice to have a swim buddy.
After swimming we went and had Japanese food at a place called... Fuji something or another, over on Johnson's Ferry Road. It was good enough. I blew my plans of staying on a low fat diet by munching on some Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura. And, horror of unspeakable horrors, I even ate all the veggies. Well except the one piece of broccoli *shudder*.
Miso soup is good for the soul by the way.
No swimming or Tai Chi tomorrow though. Going to go down to the in-laws and roof. It's only fair, they helped us with ours after all. Besides, I am thinking that moving shingles is good exercise! The bad news is, now it's going to be about 2 more weeks (maybe more if it rains) before I will have a front deck. At least I have a way in and out still, and their roof is leaking, so as far as I am concerned, it gets the priority.
I swam another 1250 meters today, and boy am I sore. And tired! But, as it is, I am remaining calm, and happy. Ok, not giddy click your heels and spin around or dance kind of happy, but a quiet sort of happy.
Now, if only I had time for a nap. :D

Date: 2003-09-29 06:40 am (UTC)I still want to go swimming with you sometime. I'm a little nervous about the cold water in the pool and how I look in a swimsuit, but I guess I just need to get over it someday.
When are you going swimming next?

Date: 2003-09-29 12:11 pm (UTC)Oh, and about "the way you look in a swimsuit" don't worry about it! I have thunder thighs these days, but no one, I mean no one there has ever been anything other than nice and respectful. And I have seen people larger than me or you there swimming before.
I know I can say not to worry about it, but actually not worrying about it is another thing. Just let me know though, I would love to have you come swim with me!
*many supporting hugs*
