Staying In Columbus

cassy_gJust a quick update, and I mean quick. I haven't slept in a while, need to nap.
Daddy is better-ish today. He had a mild heart attack on Wednesday or Thursday, they aren't really sure when. They thought he might have an ulcer that was bleeding, it turned out to be something worse.
He has cirrohsis brought on from years of untreated diabetes that gave him a condition that I can't spell, basically it is where polyps the size of my pinkie finger form in the arteries in your esophogus. They are serious and lifethreatening because if they burst you can bleed out in no time. They found those on Friday and did a proceedure this morning to close them off. He's still kind of pale, but now that he's had eight pints of blood, and they have stopped the bleeding he should improve.
When they checked his heard on Friday morning they found he had a new blockage, one they were talking about by-passing. With the new developments we don't know yet if that's an option. Should know more on Monday when his normal cardiologist returns.
Since my mother is use to my father taking care of so many things I decided I would stay here next week and help her get everything done, and make sure that I was there to talk to the doctors for her. I should be home next Sunday.
I want to thank everyone that's thinking of me and my father and wishing him well during this time. I will try to update as often as I can.
