You can thank [livejournal.com profile] peateandrepeat for this long list of movies coming out this year that I want to see, in no particular order:

Acacia (Korean Horror flick, showing at the Philadelphia International Film Festival)

Moon Child (Japanese Sci-Fi flick, showing at the Philadelphia International Film Festival, and starring J-Pop star Gackt Camui!! mmmmm delicious Gackt...Oh and for you Gackt fans out there, he's also does the voice of Seiji in New Fist of the North Star anime)

Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself (Danish Comedy/Drama flick, showing at the Philadelphia International Film Festival)

Azumi (Japanese Sci-Fi flick, showing at the Philadelphia International Film Festival)

Zatoichi (Japanese Drama, remake of the Blind Samurai series)

Dragon Head (Japanese Post-Apocalyptic Sci-Fi flick, showing at the Philadelphia International Film Festival)

Connie & Carla (Comedy, starting Nia Vardalos of My Big Fat Greek Wedding, and David Duchovny.... "David Duchovny, why won't you love me?")

The Punisher (I have tickets to the sneak peek on Thursday, all may envy me now! muhahahahaha!)

13 Going on 30 (Comedy, what can I say, it looks like a cute flick)

Close Your Eyes (Crime/Thriller, starring Goran Visnjic of ER)

Last Goodbye ("A story about an Actress who loves a Lonely Man who wants a Young Girl who needs a Rock Star who lusts for a Vampire Hunter", based on the novel, starring David Carradine and Faye Dunaway... how can this not be a fun flick??)

Van Helsing (Action/Horror, starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckindale, something for everyone to drool over!)

Shaolin Soccer (Chinese, well Hong Kong anyway, Comedy/Action/Martial Arts/Fantasy, now if they will just wide release it!!)

Troy (Action/Drama, starring Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom, I am really interested to see if Orlando's acting has grown any, and to see if he can break out of his cookie cutter Legolas performances)

Shrek 2 (Comedy/Animated, what can I say, the trailers give me giggle fits!)

The Day After Tomorrow (Post-Apocalyptic flick, not usually to my tastes, but this one has piqued my interests)

Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban (Although I have mixed feelings about seeing this since Chris Columbus didn't direct it, and honestly, I can't see anyone ever taking Richard Harris' place)

Mindhunters (Thriller/Horror, could be campy, but it hs Christian Slater in it, so I am willing to give it a shot)

The Chronicles of Riddick (Ok, I know a lot of people hated Pitch Black, but I loved it and I can't wait to see more of Riddick!)

Around the World in 80 Days (New Jackie Chan flick, need I say more??)

Sky Captain & the World of Tomorrow (Very Film Noir, but it's starring Jude Law and Angelina Jolie... besides, when's the last time you saw a flick like this one?)

Spider-Man 2 (I wasn't a huge fan of the first one, but something about the trailer is sucking me in...)

King Arthur (The real life take on the legend... mmm Keira Knightley.... )

I, Robot (It's hard to say from the trailers, but this doesn't seem to be following the book that closesly, but it still looks like a fantastic film!)

Catwoman (Mmmm Halle Berry ... me-ow!)

Thunderbirds (Sci-Fi/Fantasy flick, live action based off the old puppet show Thunderbirds Are Go!)

The Village (Horror/Suspense, the new M. Night Shyamalan flick)

Dixon Maison: Mystery at Hillyard Manor (Comedy/Gumshoe, starring Jason Carter aka Ranger Marcus Cole from Babylon 5)

Alien vs. Predator (Horror, watched a "making of" and let's just say I hope it lives up to the potential!)

Hero (Chinese Action/Drama/Martial Arts, the new Jet Li flick, oh and did I mention Zhang Ziyi??)

Exorcist: The Beginning (Horror, of course :D )

Resident Evil: Apocalypse (This announcement brought to you by the Umbrella Corporation, where our business is life itself)

Shark Tale (Comedy/Animation, starring Will Smith, Robert De Niro, Angelina Jolie, and the list goes on and on and on...)

Cursed (Horror, new werewolf flick, I am always up for more of those!)

J.M. Barrie's Neverland (Drama about the experiences of J.M. Barrie that lead him to write the story about Peter Pan, J.M. Barrie is being played by none other than Johnny Depp!)

Totured Souls: Animae Damnatae (Horror, based on the novel by Clive Barker)

Alexander (Drama, starring Colin Farrell as Alexander, the King of Macedonia)

The Incredibles (Comedy/Animation, Pixar does it again!!)

Polar Express (Animation, the graphics in this film just floor me every time I look at the trailer)

The Brothers Grimm (Drama/Comedy, not sure how I feel about Matt Damon being in this, but I am looking forward to seeing Heath Ledger... :D )

The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (Comedy/Animation, do I really have to explain this one??)

The Phantom of the Opera (Musical/Drama, I know, not really original, but I still want to see what they do (or don't do) with it)

Blade: Trinity (Horror, as if seeing Wesley Snipes dressed up as Blade isn't good enough, they have Dominic Purcell playing Dracula! Mmmm Dominic...[aka John Doe for those of you that don't know who I am talking about])

Angels with Angels (Comedy, ummm George Burns is playing in this film in 100% computer generated imagery, I have to see it just to see if they pull it off)

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (Well, I am wondering if they will stay true to the form of the books and have it end dark and unhappily, but either way, Jude Law is playing Lemony Snicket, and Jim Carrey is playing Count Olaf, so it should be an interesting ride)

Kabuki (Not alot of info on this one yet, but I believe it is based off the comic book series of the same name)

And there it is in a nutshell... now I have to hit the lottery just so I can see all these flicks! Oh and I left out all the Japanese/Asian flicks I know of that may not ever make it to the US... Casshern included...
