Busy, Busy Week Ahead
Jun. 13th, 2005 12:33 amWell, things are about to move along at lightening pace...
I have (Free!) movie passes to see the sneak peek of Batman Begins tomorrow evening. I will try very hard to write up a review (non-spoiler) before it is open for wide release on Wednesday.
Tuesday, I have to go into the office, and Tuesday evening, I will be going to Border Pagans, so anyone that wants to see me before I leave, that would be the best place to find me.
Wednesday I am driving down to Columbus to measure my room and my son's room, and also to paint them (who in this world thought that aquamarian with pink trim was a good idea?!).
I will hopefully be back Thursday, it depends on how long painting takes.
I HAVE to finish packing, which is about to make me have a nervous breakdown even THINKING about it.
Saturday or Sunday I will be moving 90% of my stuff down to Columbus. I really REALLY need a truck for a couple of things (like my 52" wide screen tele), but I can't afford one at the moment, so I guess it is staying here until I can get one.
Also, they don't have a phone yet, so I will probably not have any internet connection at all for a couple weeks, though I am trying VERY hard to get that fixed this week as I HAVE to have one for all the work I do - it is necessary for me to be able to work at home.
Still waiting to hear on the website redesign that I sent the proposal in for - crossing my fingers on it.
My mother is already making me crazy - wish me luck, so I that I don't wind up on the 6 o'clock news some day.
One positive thing about moving down there is that my parents' new house has a BIG pool in the backyard. I can start swimming again. It is what makes me feel peaceful. So, I might very well survive this after all.
I know this is blasphemous - but a part of me is looking forward to being unplugged. I spend on average 20 hours a day in front of a computer, either working, answering emails or playing video games - I am really looking forward to not feeling like I have to hide behing my monitor. I know I can do it, because when I went to Jacksonville last weekend (Yes, I have been conspicuously silent over the trip - maybe another time I will let you all in on the nice time I had) - anyway, when I went to Jacksonville, my arm literally had to be twisted to get me near a PC.
Is it at all possible I am just experiencing technology burn out??

Date: 2005-06-13 08:58 am (UTC)Hang in there. I'm off to see my own mom in the next week or two, and there is no pool. Let's both try not to kill anyone.
