Terrorist Attacks In London on the Opening Day of the G8

As I am sure most of you know by now, there was a horrible string of terrorist bombings in London today which coincided with the opening of the G8 in Scotland.

I won't recap all of it now, go check out BBC News for all the latest information about the attacks.

This is what I wanted you all to see, it is a small piece of a statement made this morning by an obviously devastated Tony Blair:

"It's important however that those engaged in terrorism realise that our determination to defend our values and our way of life is greater than their determination to cause death and destruction to innocent people in a desire to impose extremism on the world.

Whatever they do, it is our determination that they will never succeed in destroying what we hold dear in this country and in other civilised nations throughout the world."

I got called about this this morning by a friend in Manchester, they are rattled but fine. Another friend in London was close to one of the locations, he's a little bit frazzled.
